Our wedding assistants have a professional background and extensive experience in offering the highest level of services to assist and ensure your magical wedding day will run as smoothly as possible.

For any couple considering marriage in Bali it is important to note that authorities will generally agree to marry a couple who belong to one of the 5 religions recognized within Indonesia (Protestant, Catholic, Moslem, Hindu, Buddhist) and prefer that the couple are of the same religious belief. All couples are also required to present a 'Certificate of Non Impediment,' or similar document, declaring freedom to marry.

During your wedding, the Bali Adventure Tours Executive will provide you with the following services:

Give full details of requirements and procedures for each of the appropriate nationalities.
Help the wedding couple obtain your 'Certificate of Non Impediment' letter which will be issued by your Consulate or Embassy representative in Indonesia. For Canadian citizens, the Bali Adventure wedding assistant will take care of your Certificate of Non Impediment letter. For citizens of the USA and Australia it will be necessary to apply in person to your Consulate after arriving in Bali and the certificate is generally issued immediately. The Bali Adventure wedding assistant will assist with this process.
Arrange the photographs that are required for the wedding certificate and documentation. Ensure that they are correct and adhere to authority requirements.
Advise the Minister of any special requirement you may have requested such as special vows you may wish to say to each other, additional readings, ring exchange etc.
Just prior to wedding date all arrangements will be reconfirmed with the Civil Registrar, the Minister and any other persons involved with your wedding ceremony.
Attend your ceremony to ensure it's a smooth procedure and to act as coordinator.
Act as witnesses if you have no friends or family attending the ceremony.

Documentation required for application to the Registrar & Minister:

Copy of detailed pages of each passport (couple)
Copy of each birth certificate (couple)
Copy of divorce or death certificate if either party previously married

Catholic couples must also supply:

Baptism Certificate issued not more than 6 months previously (preferably maximum of 3 months)
Pre Nuptial Enquiry fully completed and signed by your Parish Priest or other Church authority.
Letter of Freedom issued by your Parish Priest or other Church official declaring you have never been married and are therefore free to marry.
Letter of Delegation addressed to the Catholic Church in Bali declaring that your own Parish has no objection to your marriage ceremony being performed by a Priest from the Catholic Church in Bali.

Important Note:
If a Catholic wishes to marry a Non-Catholic through the Catholic Church then an additional document known as a Dispensation for Disparity of Religion is also required. The document usually will be issued after the couple has attended a 6 weeks instruction process from the Church, however if you have no objection to conduct your wedding as a Christian ceremony only then the above documentation is not required.

For Catholic and Legal weddings, because of the many regulations and documentation that is required, we recommend a minimum of one month advance booking period.
