A highlight of the Elephant Safari Park is the fascinating Elephant Museum, which features over 1000 interesting, fun and
educational exhibits.
Surrounding the Museum area are large graphic display boards informing visitors of every elephant fact imaginable and a continuous video educates people about the various
aspects of elephants.
The Museum also highlights the historical links between elephants and mankind and the folklore and culture associated with elephants, giving an educational experience and
insight to how the elephant is fast becoming an endangered species.

History to Hollywood….
Feel like a star and take a seat in the same elephant chair used by actress Jodie Foster in the Oscar winning (Have to check if it was an Oscar winner) Hollywood blockbuster
'Anna & the King'' or step back in time and feel like a King in a regal 18th Century Maharaja elephant seat from Rajistaan India. |

Butchers and Bones….
On arrival at the Museum an impressive 30-year-old Sumatran Elephant skeleton greets you, but the true showpiece of this treasure trove of elephant history is a
full size mammoth replica of the rare Woolly Mammoth butchered by the Paleo-Indians some 11,000 years ago.
Measuring more than three and a half meters high, it is the only skeleton of its' kind on public display in the Southern Hemisphere and will certainly be the first time most
visitors have a chance to see such a rare piece. The park's owner, Nigel Mason, searched the world to find a mammoth skeleton and purchased this magnificent replica after it
had travelled throughout the USA in an Ice Age Exhibition. |

ELEPHANT
FOUNDATION
The Elephant Safari Park offers a new concept in Eco tourism. Here you can enjoy the exciting adventure of Elephant Trekking
while you are also helping to save the endangered Indonesian Elephant (one of world's rarest elephants). Currently there are less than 1,100 Indonesian Elephants left
in the wild and their numbers a rapidly decreasing. At the Elephant Safari Park we are assisting, through proceeds from admissions, with the relocation of wild
elephants to special reserves set up by the Indonesian Government to assist with breeding programs to help build up the depleting numbers. |
